Rochelle’s Special Education Tips

If a student’s IEP identifies a certain number of minutes for reading instruction, be sure the student is receiving the required instruction as per the IEP.  A school administrator may not unilaterally change the amount of time the student is to receive reading instruction, even if the time period identified in the IEP is more than the amount of time in the school’s regular reading class.
