Pessin Katz Law, P.A. (PK Law) is pleased to announce that Kathryn Jackson and James (Jay) Darrah has joined the firm as Associates in the Firm’s Medical Malpractice Defense Group where they concentrate their practices on representing healthcare professionals and institutions.
Kathryn graduated cum laude from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of law in 2018. While in school, she was a member of the Moot Court Board and a Staff Editor of the Maryland Law Review. Kathryn was also an Academic Achievement Fellow and a Title 17 trained mediator in the school’s Mediation Clinic.
Prior to law school, Kathryn attended Virginia Tech where she graduated with her B.A. in Political Science in 2015. Kathryn previously worked in the PK Law General Litigation Group as a Law Clerk.
Prior to joining PK Law, Jay practiced at a civil litigation firm where he handled medical malpractice, personal injury, construction and general insurance defense matters. He has considerable experience representing clients in tort-related litigation in Maryland and the District of Columbia. While in law school, Jay clerked for a Fortune 500 insurance company and served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Daniel M. Long in the Circuit Court for Somerset County.
Jay received his undergraduate degree from Villanova University and his JD from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
