Several PK Law Members, including Past President, Patricia McHugh Lambert, along with guests, attended the annual Executive Alliance Women of Excellence Luncheon on November 19th. The luncheon featured speaker Valerie B. Jarrett, a senior distinguished fellow at the University of Chicago Law School and chair of the board of When We All Vote. She was the longest serving senior advisor to President Barack Obama and oversaw the offices of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs and chaired the White House Council on Women and Girls. She led the Obama administration’s efforts to expand and strengthen access to the middle class and boost American businesses and the economy. She wrote a memoir, “Finding My Voice: My Journey to the West Wing and the Path Forward,” which was published in April 2019.
Executive Alliance is an organization based in the Greater Baltimore region with the purpose of connecting accomplished women on a professional and personal level to expand their impact and influence in the board room, the community, and in the leadership of businesses, civic organizations, and government.
The mission and activities of the organization are rooted in the principles of connecting more women with board opportunities; collaborating with private and public entities to raise awareness and advance women in leadership roles; providing educational member programming to impart knowledge, leverage best practices, and share resources; cultivating new connections and expand members’ personal networks; and encouraging members to be professional in their actions and manage with integrity.
