Congratulations to PK Law Patricia McHugh Lambert on her appointment to the Maryland Commission for Women. She was appointed in May 2019. She is a Principal and Member of the law firm of Pessin Katz Law. P.A. located in Towson, Maryland. Ms. Lambert has over 35 years of experience in handling complex commercial litigation and insurance matters. Ms. Lambert has worked as counsel on significant insurance litigation, commercial litigation and regulatory matters for Fortune 500 companies. She has also assisted small and mid-sized companies and business executives with contract, real estate, liability assessment and commercial disputes that needed to be resolved quickly and efficiently. Ms. Lambert is best known as an attorney who knows the field of insurance. She has represented insurers, policyholders, and insurance producers in disputes both in courts throughout the country and before the Maryland Insurance Administration. . As noted by Ms. Lambert, “In litigation, as well as in life, there are missed opportunities because people do not use creativity in approaching problems. Approaching issues with insight, and sometimes with a woman’s touch, has helped me achieve success for my clients.” Ms. Lambert is the firm’s Liaison for Harmonie, a national network of high quality law firms that serve the special needs of the risk industry, serves on Harmonie’s Board and serves at the Chair of Harmonie’s Diversity Committee.
In addition to her work as a lawyer, Ms. Lambert is active in the community. She is currently the President of Executive Alliance, a non-profit organization with the mission to promote the advancement of women in professional and executive positions. She has also served as Chair and Board Member of Maryland’s Health & Human Services Referral Board which provides oversight to the 2-1-1 Maryland system. She also has served as an Executive Committee Member, a Board member and the Chair of the Women’s Leadership Council of United Way of Central Maryland.
Ms. Lambert also has a passion for mentoring and currently coaches a nationally recognized high school mock trial program at Franklin High School in Baltimore County Maryland.
Ms. Lambert is a long time resident of Carroll County.
