Hodes, Pessin & Katz, P.A. (HPK) is honored to have Member Patricia McHugh Lambert named one of the winners of The Daily Record’s 2010 Leadership in Law Award. The Leadership in Law Award was created in 2000 to draw attention to the many Maryland legal professionals whose dedication to their occupation and to their communities deserves particular recognition.Â
Ms. Lambert’s long standing and extensive contributions to the community clearly make her a proper recipient for such a distinguished award. For over 20 years, Ms. Lambert has been actively involved in the community, focusing her efforts on issues involving women, families, and children. She has served as a mentor to many younger attorneys, and spearheaded the development of a mock trial program for high school students in collaboration with Owings Mills High School. She currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Women’s Leadership Council, for the United Way of Central Maryland, is a Member of the Tocqueville Society of the United Way of Central Maryland, is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Injured Workers’ Insurance Fund, is a Member of Network 2000, and a Board Member of the St. Agnes Foundation.Â
“We are very proud of Pat’s involvement and accomplishments in the community, and think she is clearly deserving of such an award,” remarks Nicole Ames, HPK Marketing Director. HPK recognizes the importance of supporting its community and encourages all of its attorneys to serve their local communities. “Pat is a wonderful role model for all of us.”
In addition to her dedication to the community, Ms. Lambert has over 25 years of experience in handling complex commercial litigation and insurance matters. She has worked on national class actions and significant litigation and regulatory matters for Fortune 500 companies, and has also assisted small and mid-sized companies and business executives with contract, real estate, and commercial disputes. Ms. Lambert is best known as an attorney who knows the field of insurance, representing insurers, policyholders, and insurance producers in disputes both in court and before the Maryland Insurance Administration.Â
