Hodes, Pessin & Katz, P.A. (HPK) Associate Kimberly Longford was elected to the Board of Directors of the Arc Baltimore. The Arc Baltimore, originally organized in 1950 as the Maryland Society for Mentally Retarded Children, Inc., provides advocacy and high quality, life-changing community-based support services to men, women, and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.  Programs and services include employment training and community engagement, medical supports, landscaping and janitorial employment services, individual job placements, residential care, individual and family support, treatment foster care, respite assistance, day camps and recreation and leisure activities.  The Arc Baltimore is governed by a 26-member Board of Directors and includes professionals from the community as well as self-advocates and parent-advocates.

Ms. Longford is a 2006 graduate of the University Of Miami School Of Law where she received a Dean’s Certificate of Achievement in legal research and writing and a CALI Award for Excellent Achievement in Advanced Moot Court. Ms. Longford has substantial civil litigation experience and concentrates her practice in the defense of medical malpractice and lead paint matters.
