Chantelle Custodio is a Member with PK Law and serves as the chair of the Medical Malpractice Defense Group and has extensive experience in defending clients in tort-related complex litigation, including business owners, foster care providers and residential group home providers.
Custodio has extensive trial experience but takes great pride in winning pre-trial on motion or by voluntary dismissal as well. Her passion is to provide excellent, detail-oriented, and creative representation for our health care heroes. In her own words, they “dedicate their lives to helping others in need, and so it is a great honor to help our health care providers through their time of need.”
What’s the most important thing you do in your job?
I counsel health care providers through some of the most difficult times in their professional careers. To a health care provider, being sued is devastating and incredibly disruptive. I strive to make the process as painless as possible and to help them achieve the very best result possible so that they can continue to do the good work they do day in and day out for their patients.
What is one aspect of your profession you would like to change?
I would eliminate the unnecessary nastiness between attorneys. We are all just doing the best we can for our clients – there is no need to make it personal or miserable.
If you weren’t in this profession, what would you be doing?
I would probably be in a C-suite somewhere – I love leading, mentoring, casting vision and executing on well-developed plans.
