PK Law Attorney Valerie Taylor presented at the Claims Litigation Management (CLM) 2022 Annual Conference in Palm Springs California.
Valerie’s presentation was called “A View From the Bench” which was an interactive panel discussion with the Honorable Judge Judith Ensor, Circuit Court for Baltimore City and Honorable Judge Mark Scurti, District Court for Baltimore City who shared their experiences both as practitioners in civil litigation and insurance defense, then discussed their current roles of presiding over such cases as judges. Other key topics discussed were tips for effectively facilitating settlement, how COVID-19 has impacted the practice of law both in and out of the courtroom, advice on presenting evidence to both a judge and a jury, as well as practical suggestions for young and older practitioners alike will be offered.
