Join PK Law Bankruptcy and Commercial Litigation Attorney, Emily Devan, to discuss proactive measures to take to protect yourself and your business; what you should do (and not do) in the event your customers get behind on payments or file for bankruptcy and highlights of the Small Business Reorganization Act of 2019 that just went into effect in February.
PK Law Labor and Employment Attorney, David Burkhouse, will wrap things up with an overview of Maryland’s new “Ban the Box” law which restricts many employer inquiries into an applicants criminal record prior to an in-person interview. The original bill, passed in the 2019 session of the Maryland General Assembly, was vetoed by Governor Hogan. However, the General Assembly overrode the governor’s veto in the 2020 session. The law took effect on February 29, 2020.
