Jacob Thompson is an Associate in the Firm’s Wealth Preservation Group where he assists with drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives for clients. He also assists with tax planning; beneficiary, fiduciary, and guardian designations; and elder law planning.
Prior to starting at PK Law, Jacob Thompson was a Legal Intern at the Sugar Law Center for Economic and Social Justice, where he advised clients on a wide range of legal topics s such as contracts and arbitration agreements, civil procedure, employment and labor law, indemnification, and civil rights law, and a Judicial Extern at the Probate Court of Ingham County, Michigan, where he assisted the court in researching estate law and the law of probate, analysis of guardianships, docket scheduling, and general administration.
Jacob received his J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law and received his B.S. in Business Administration in Finance with a Minor in Philosophy from Central Michigan University.
