Kimberly Longford is a Member with PK Law and part of the firm’s Medical Malpractice Defense Practice Group. She also provides general counsel and litigation services for businesses. Kim is a trial attorney with extensive experience representing individuals and entities in all aspects of litigation, including presuit, discovery, trial, and appeal.
In her over 15 years of practice, Kim has developed a well-recognized and respected expertise in the defense of healthcare providers, including hospitals, healthcare systems, medical groups, long term care facilities, rehabilitation facilities, physicians, mid-level providers, and nurses. Her respect and admiration for health care providers started at a very young age and she proudly represents health care providers who have dedicated their lives to caring for others. Her clients include providers and institutions providing obstetric, orthopaedic, radiologic, oncologic, emergency medicine, urgent, primary, rehabilitative, and long-term care. Kim has significant trial experience resulting in verdicts for her clients in State and Federal Courts throughout the State of Maryland and has also achieved many voluntary dismissals and summary judgments in favor of her clients. Kim also represents healthcare providers before State licensing boards, including the Board of Physicians.
Kim also provides general counsel and litigation services for businesses, including residential and commercial lenders, restaurants, property management, and trucking companies. She has experience representing businesses victimized by data security breaches and businesses engaged in contractual disputes. Kim also represents residential property owners and managers in the defense of toxic tort claims, including lead paint litigation.
Kim resides in Ellicott City with her husband and three daughters.
