Alexandria M. Hodge is an Associate Attorney in the Firm’s Education, Labor and Employment Group.
Ms. Hodge represents the Firm’s school board clients by providing guidance and representation in investigations, mediations, hearings, proceedings before the State Board of Education, and in federal and state courts. Her experience spans pupil services, policy, special education, compliance monitoring, labor and employment, Title IX, and student discipline. She also provides defense representation to institutions in matters arising from the Maryland Child Victims Act of 2023.
Ms. Hodge holds her Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where she graduated cum laude. She earned her Master’s in English Education and Curriculum from the University College London, Europe’s preeminent institution for global education studies. She completed her teacher residency and earned her Master’s in Interdisciplinary Education Studies and Graduate Certificate in Urban Education Policy from The Johns Hopkins University. She received her Bachelor’s in Writing, with a minor in English literature, from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Prior to joining PK Law, Ms. Hodge was an Associate School Law Attorney, acting as general counsel for public school district clients in Pennsylvania. She also served as a law clerk for the Chief Administrative Law Judge at the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Hearings and Appeals, and clerked with the Children’s Guild Charter Schools and the Maryland Office of the Attorney General, Department of Education.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Hodge was an English literature and special education reading teacher in public schools. Her passion for building and protecting systems of public education for future generations led her to attend law school and pursue a career in education law.
In her free time, Ms. Hodge volunteers with the Central High School Foundation to advance its mission of eliminating the opportunity gap at her alma mater, the largest high school in the state of Nebraska.
