Megan Anderson is a Member in the Firm’s Medical Malpractice Defense Group where she focuses her practice on the defense of individual health care providers and the defense of health care institutions throughout the State of Maryland.  She manages cases pending throughout the State of Maryland as well as in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. Ms. Anderson also represents physicians, nurses, social workers, and other health care providers in proceedings before The Maryland Board of Physicians, The Maryland Board of Nursing, The Maryland Board of Social Workers, and other administrative agencies of the State of Maryland. She provides subpoena assistance for mental health care and other health care clients whose patients are involved in litigation and assists clients in responding to quality of care review investigations from insurance carriers. Additionally she has experience defending veterinarians and veterinary facilities in Maryland circuit and district courts.
Ms. Anderson received her law degree from The Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law where she was active on the Moot Court Board, the Student Bar Association, and the International Legal Honor Society, Phi Delta Phi. After graduating from law school, she clerked for the Honorable Emory A. Plitt, Jr. at the Circuit Court for Harford County where she drafted opinions in a variety of civil and criminal cases.
Before law school she received both her undergraduate and master’s degrees in the biological sciences. As a master’s student she researched, wrote, and orally defended a thesis, honing skills essential to the legal field in effectively communicating complex topics both orally and in writing.
