Nicole E. Ames, Esquire

Nicole Ames is the Chief Business Development Officer at PK Law where she has been head of the Firm’s marketing and business development efforts for the past fifteen years.  Prior to this position, Ms. Ames practiced law, primarily civil litigation defense.

In her current role, she is responsible for coordinating the Firm’s overall branding, marketing, communications, and business development efforts.  Separating PK Law from other law firms, she works with every attorney in the Firm, from first year associates to senior equity Members, to develop strong and effective individual marketing plans and helps them implement their plans with training, business development support and coaching.

Ms. Ames works with the heads of the Firm’s practice groups to develop and implement practice group marketing plans and works with the Firm’s Managing Director to develop and implement a firm wide marketing plan.  Ms. Ames is responsible for managing the Firm’s brand and internal/external communication and public relations efforts.  She oversees the creative and substantive development and updating of the Firm’s website, social media activities, e-marketing outreach, advertising, philanthropic sponsorships and client satisfaction initiatives.  She strategizes with the Managing Director and assists with implementing the Firm’s recruitment, growth, and succession planning efforts.

Ms. Ames obtained her J.D. from the George Mason School of Law and is barred in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.  She obtained her B.A. from the University of Maryland, College Park in Speech Communication. She is the past Chair of the Legal Marketing Association Baltimore Chapter where she also served in various other leadership capacities and a Member at Large. She is a Maryland Daily Record Top 100 Women Winner, recognized for her extensive community involvement efforts and leadership as well as her professional accomplishments.
