Professional Experience

Jennifer Harris is an associate at PK Law.  Prior to joining the firm as an associate, she served as a summer associate and law clerk in the firm’s General Litigation Department.

Jennifer’s primary areas of practice are corporate and real estate litigation (including commercial and residential), real estate transactions, landlord/tenant matters, land-use litigation, and the enforceability of land covenants.  Jennifer represents various clients in tax sale foreclosure actions, contract litigation and negotiations, and business disputes.

Jennifer’s litigation experience includes all aspects of litigation, including bench and jury trials, in state district and circuit court for individuals and companies, including pre-trial and trial practice, motion practice, fact and expert discovery, witness preparation, settlement negotiations, and providing counsel to clients regarding strategy, settlement and future liability.

Jennifer also represents nursing homes with billing disputes and in guardianship actions.

Significant Matters:

  • Representation of clients and lenders in connection with loan workouts and modifications.
  • Representation of commercial entities in litigation concerning the enforceability of land-use covenants.
  • Representation of commercial entities in leasing disputes involving low-occupancy shopping centers and tenancy requirements.
  • Representation of private and institutional investors, lenders and other owners of real property in the disposition, financing and leasing of residential and commercial property.
  • Representation of a variety of individuals and commercial entities in district and circuit court in rent court claims, small claims, and actions for confessed judgment.
  • Representation and defense of construction businesses against wage claims and disputes.

 In 2015, Jennifer graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law summa cum laude and a member of the Heuisler Honor Society.  While in law school, Jennifer was on the Executive Board of the University of Baltimore Law Review, was a member of the National Labor Law Moot Court Team, and a Rule 16 Attorney for the Civil Advocacy Clinic. Jennifer also completed internships with the Honorable Timothy J. McCrone, the Honorable Stephen J. Sfekas, and with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

After graduating law school, Jennifer clerked for the Honorable Mickey J. Norman in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County where she drafted opinions, assisted in civil and criminal jury trials, and focused on foreclosure litigation.  Jennifer received her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, College Park in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy.
