Management Staff:

The management staff at Pessin Katz Law, P.A., includes leadership positions in finance, human resources, information technology and marketing.  The Chief Financial Officer, Chief Business Development Officer, Chief Information Officer, and Director of Human Resources work together in overseeing various projects/initiatives for the firm as well directing their respective department’s activities.   The management staff is committed to supporting our attorneys to ensure the firm is able to provide the highest level of service to our clients.

Support Staff:

Our staff is dedicated to providing excellent client service.  Support staff positions at Pessin Katz Law, P.A., include paralegals, legal administrative assistants, IT support, administrative/records clerks and other similar  administrative support positions.   A team approach is used throughout all of our departments providing a work environment that is collegial, supportive and flexible.

Paralegal (full-time position):  Opportunity available for a paralegal with minimum of three years’ litigation experience to work in Litigation and Labor/Education Practice Groups.  Responsibilities include  organizing/preparing exhibits; conducting research; preparing for trials/hearings; assisting with discovery requests, including conducting e-discovery searches;  and other similar tasks.  Will also be responsible for creating and maintaining various spreadsheets to track client/case data.  Attention to detail and strong organizational and communication skills are essential.  Requirements include Bachelor’s Degree/certificate in paralegal studies or experience equivalent and intermediate Excel skills. 

Practice Assistant (part-time position):  Newly created part-time position working with Corporate and Real Estate attorney focusing on client billing and A/R.  Responsibilities include coordinating client billing/payments and tracking/following up on related A/R matters.  Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Monitoring, coordinating and facilitating the processing of client bills
  • Maintaining payment spreadsheet; coordinating payments with clients
  • Preparing correspondence and documents related to client billing
  • Providing back-up legal administrative assistant support

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of two years’ administrative/accounting/financial recordkeeping experience.  Additional qualifications include excellent written and oral communication skills, proactive work ethic, attention to detail and ability to coordinate multiple tasks/deadlines.  Strong day-to-day organizational skills, a client service focus and ability to work as part of a team are essential.  Must have proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.  Hours:  21 hours per week; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. three days a week (Monday through Friday); some flexibility on days and hours.
